Montana’s Unique Swan Valley

"Situated in one of the last remaining wild and intact landscapes in Noth America..." - Departures Magazine, 2020

Teaming with unspoiled lakes, creeks and rivers, majestic mountain ranges and storybook valleys, Northwest Montana is a mecca for outdoor enthusiasts and undoubtedly one of the most spectacular wilderness settings in the nation. Those that are lucky enough to live here enjoy skiing, hiking, hunting, fishing and exploring the unspoiled lands in a number of different ways all year long. Commonly referred to as “Glacier Country”, it’s also home to Glacier National Park, one of the nation’s premiere national parks.

Holland Peak Ranch is situated in this pristine environment, nestled in the picturesque Swan Valley between the towering peaks of the Mission Mountains to the west and the Swan Mountains to the East, and surrounded by 1.5 million acres of protected wilderness accessible only by trail.

While secluded, Holland Peak Ranch is easily accessible and just over an hour’s drive from two city airports. The ranch itself encompasses over 1000 acres of land, forest and wetlands, including a year-round spring-fed creek that flows into two small private lakes on the property. Meandering through hay fields and flowing into the wild and scenic Swan River, the setting provides a habitat for wildlife and offers unrivaled opportunities for water and other recreational activities without leaving the ranch.

Just a few miles from the ranch lies the entrance to Holland Lake, offering miles of fishing, water recreational activities and hiking trails, including Holland Lake Waterfall, an easy hike along the shoreline and a favorite afternoon activity for families. Situated within a quick, scenic drive from the ranch, both the Bob Marshall and Mission Mountains Wilderness areas, Seely Lake and Swan Lake areas, and Flathead Lake farther north offer a multitude of other recreational opportunities, including boating, hiking, camping, swimming, fishing and skiing.
