Wild Life Viewing

The Swan Valley is home to a remarkable variety and abundance of wildlife. While enjoying a morning walk around Lake Michelle you might see several deer darting over a fence or rabbits peeking out from behind a tree.

The area’s abundant water and varied terrain makes it the perfect environment for prairie dogs, deer, elk, coyote, wolves beaver and foxes along with the occasional bear and mountain lion.

If you are a Bird watcher, you will particularly enjoy the abundant numbers of eagles, osprey and waterfowl of all kinds drawn to Holland Peak Ranch’s two private spring-fed lakes.

Spring and Fall are the two peak seasons for wildlife viewing in the Swan Valley. Binoculars are provided and available for the use of guests during your stay to insure that you make the most of your sighting opportunities.
